Word, sentence, line and paragraph counts use simple, transparent rules — computed in your browser, never uploaded.
Paste or type any text and the counts update instantly. Characters counts every character by Unicode code point (so an emoji or accented letter counts as one); No spaces drops all whitespace. Words splits on runs of whitespace, Lines counts newline-separated rows, and Paragraphs counts blocks separated by a blank line.
Sentences is a simple heuristic — text split on ., ! and ? — so abbreviations like “Dr.” may nudge the total. Reading time estimates at about 200 words per minute. Everything is computed in your browser; the text you paste is never sent anywhere.
