Internet Speed Test
Download, upload, ping, and jitter against the WebKnife server. Runs entirely in your browser.
Speed measurement by LibreSpeed · LGPL-3.0
Bandwidth, latency, and packet timing between you and our server.
A speed test measures three things: download throughput (how fast you can pull data from a nearby server), upload throughput (how fast you can push it back), and latency (round-trip time). Jitter is how much the latency varies sample-to-sample — low jitter means a stable connection.
Results depend on your ISP, the distance to the test server, network congestion, and what else your network is doing right now. Geographic distance is one of the biggest factors — a server 2000 km away will always have higher ping than one across the street, regardless of your connection speed. For a representative test, run it a few times at different times of day and average the results.
